FA Charter

FA CHARTER DEVELOPMENT CLUB [31 Mar @ 11:00pm]

At the end of 2003 the club decided it should continue its progression and development and present its case to the FA to become a Charter Standard Club. After 5 months of hard work the committee members had compiled the clubs case and put together its application and doC*Mentation to be considered by the FA and the result was The Recognition of Achieving The FA Charter Standard Development Club Award. This means the FA recognised the hard work and commitment the managers and coaches have to providing structured and well organised football for the community. Also it recognized Westwood's commitment to ongoing training for its coaches and managers, current players and club members and also providing further coaching and refereeing courses and training for its senior players coming to the end of their youth football and wanting to break into new areas of football. The Charter also ensures all managers and coaches responsible for each team have completed the FA's own Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check, are qualified first aiders and have completed the minimum coaching qualification 1st4Sport Level 1. All existing and new members, players, spectators, coaches and managers have been given the relevant Codes of Conduct and have to sign the declaration A*Suring the club and the relevant league bodies and FA they will adhere to them
