A big thanks to Andy Colangelo of Oakleaf Building Surveyors who have kindly sponsored the boys new jackets
Westwood's under 11 and under 14 boys, managed by Mark Smyth and Steve
(Bully) Bullion, accompanied by the dynamic Paula Stacy-Rock and her under
12 Diamonds spent a week over Easter in Great Yarmouth on tour.
The teams were exemplary in attitude, behaviour and performance on the
pitch, and were credited by the organisers for bringing a superb set of
teams and club to the tournament.
The under
14's were unlucky and missed out on the awards, (probably something to do
with the late nights) however this didn't stop the U11 boys and The Diamonds
both winning the Fair Play Awards.
The Diamonds went on to win their group and league outright. Paula was
presented with a trophy that resembled the Champions League cup in both
style and size, the cup was bigger than some of the girls! Obviously the
late nights and partying doesn't worry the girls in the morning, as the hair
and make up was as spot on as their footy.
A massive thanks go to Paula and the others for their hard work over the
previous year for organising the event and making sure every one was
organised and there.
