Westwood Wanderers have been awarded the Berks & Bucks Football Association Divisional Fair Play Award for the season 2006/07.

This is a fantastic achievement for the club, its coaches and managers, parents, and above all the main reason we are here, the players. It is also testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to all involved.

The award is based on how we manage and run the club, the standard of our managers, coaches and parents and the standards they set, our  disciplinary record over the season and past seasons, and many other factors. As far as we have been informed  we are the first club in the SCML to be presented with this.

It is not just the present committee and managers who have helped us as a club to achieve this,  (although they have worked extremely hard and tirelessly, and contributed enormously in the past few years) but members in the past who helped to get us to a position where we were able continue take the club to this next level and win these awards. Thanks go to Howard Brown, Alan Bennett, Alan Hicks, Roger Paintin, Sid Langton  to name but a few.

This season has been a great one for the club, winning the SCML Presidents Award and the Berks and Bucks FA Divisional Fair Play Award, the number of teams winning league cup games and gaining high positions in their respective leagues, and the assortment of teams winning summer tournaments is a testament to our coaches and managers. Lets hope that this continues into the next and following seasons.

Westwood Wanderers are proud to announce that on Sunday 10th June the club was presented with the South Chiltern Minor League Presidents Cup award. This is the highest honour the SCML can bestow on its member clubs, and is testimony to the hard work by the club, it's managers, coaches, players and supporters over the year. Thanks to everyone involved, past and present making the club what it is today.
