Most parents, football supporters and fans of the game reading this will be aware that over the years there has been a disturbing and increasing number of reports involving parents and  spectators becoming involved in confrontational issues with match officials, officials of opposing teams, supporters of opposing teams and more worryingly members of the actual opposition playing the game.

While everyone appreciates that football is one of the most passionate and loved games on the planet the FA have introduced a number of free on line courses to give spectators and parents an idea of the sort of standard and approach they should have towards children's football.

Westwood Wanderers are in full support of this and encourage every one of its parents, guardians, supporters etc to go on to the FA web site, register and take the course. The course its self only takes about 20 minutes, once taken and passed you will be able to print off a certificate from the FA web site with your name included stating that you have taken and passed the Parent Soccer course. Once you have been redirected to the FA web site click on the "Free Courses" button, scroll down and you will see the Free Soccer parent course there, remember to register with the FA first.
